search engine optimization

"The engineering of a web page or site resulting in the optimum level of visibility for the most relevant words or phases within search engines results."

The term may appear at No.1, but no one is searching on it. How often a term appears in a search engine search result, is more important than how high.
We design with search engine optimization as a primary consideration, however it is up to the site owner to produce quality content to which such techniques can be applied.
